Indeed. Apparently he and his family were movers and shakers in the Crisp County area of Georgia in the late 1800s. One of his sons, Isiah was a senator, others were doctors and lawyers and such.
Did work with Crisp County Power Commission back in the early 1980's. Have relatives all over that area. Have a place on Lake Blackshear where CCPC has the hydro dam to generate their power.

HIs name was Hiram Williams, he had 11 kids, 8 sons and 3 daughters. Don't know if they are all still in that area, not much contact with that side of the family. Just learning about all these relatives with ancestry research. The son Isaiah was with Lee at Appomatox and walked home to GA after the surrender.

I'm related to Williams in Macon County, 1 county over from Crisp (other side of Dooly County)....
