Sorry, Jack. Can't be Vidalias.
Vidalia onion growers have protected their brand, and today all onions labelled Vidalia must be grown in one of thirteen different counties in Georgia or in specific portions of seven other counties. Because of their taste and reputation, they are able to command an increased price in the marketplace.
I knew a guy that would take a Walla Walla and eat it like an apple. The Vidalia is for you easterners, we have our own sweetie, the Walla Walla. A burger chain called Burgerville has Walla Walla onion rings when they are in season. Can't wait! Then there are Walla Walla onions, on par or excell Vidalias.

1953: The Frisco Railroad moved Frisco 4-8-4 Northen class locomotive # 4524 to the Railroad Historical Museum in Grant Beach Park, Springfield, MO. The engine moved under its own power with compressed air. They would moved the track sections from the back to the front and inch her forward to the park. The several block move down city streets took ten days. This was the Frisco's last steam locomotive.
Too cool, Bob. That first one's a great shot.
He's a hero in Argentina, master of Tango music.Tango singer Carlos Gardel and well-wishers in Medellin, Colombia in 1935. Sadly, this was among the last photos of Gardel who was on a Latin American tour and would be killed in a plane crash the day this picture was taken.
Love that hat on Sgt.Koonsman.Great hats worn by brave men.
