A couple of those pics wherein the gents are sporting pocket watches, caught my eye. Their chains,instead of being looped through a button hole on their vests, are instead snaked through a vertical slit specially created for the purpose. I don't recall seeing such clear examples until now. I might have this done to a few of my vests, in as much as I often find that using an existing button hole to be problematic due to interference with the button of the chain &/or its attachment device.
