Chapman's Department Store, Milwaukee. 1951.

From the days when a department store was truly made up of many departments. Note the shaving gear, Gillette Blue Blades (which I use today) and other things, in the display case. This portion of the store has more mirrors, but it reminds me of Meyer the Hatter, the last hat shop left here in town.

Thanks for bringing this up again. Interesting read. I'm guessing these 7 yrs was after their original confinement in Florida? Makes me want to go back & research that time & how the Pawnee Bill Lillie Wild West Show fits in.

Jack do you remember the show Walter Cronkite had back in the 50s or 60s called Life In The 21st Century ? Or maybe just the 21st Century ? All kinds of stuff like that were on there .
