My first Burton Taylor. Since they were made by Mallory I've added it to this thread.

I have a size 7 mallory " The dallas" and a very stratoliner looking box by mallory in very nice shape coming my way. The hat has some insect damage but the sweat and liner are really good as is the box. I'm putting this here for the moment....if anyone is interested in something like this drop me a line to discuss further. Thanks.

I picked up a "The Dallas" a few months ago. Excellent hat. Interested in seeing the box.

Sorry about all the photos....I only wanted the box and hat liner one time. Didn't post a picture in a year....how do we edit? I'd have removed the duplicates.

What is the Era on the box and hat? Any ideas?
I'll be looking to pass this on to another after it arrives. But here in the meantime for the mallory enthusiasts. The hat body is moth nibbled badly. Good doner hat....very good box. Anyone care to drop me a line please do.

The markings on the hat look a lot like those on 40cal's XV posted a couple of pages back. http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/the-mallory-mile.41370/page-40#post-2018276

Post Stetson, but older than my "The Dallas," as my hat has/had a paper size tag, rather than the cloth. Mine is not a XV. 40cal puts his at late 40s, early 50s. I think my "Dallas" is mid to late 50s. Photos of any other markings?

That box, however, just looks "40s" to me.

Photo posting is a bit different since the site changed. You should be able to go into Edit and delete any attachemnts.

I'll be totally honest and tell you that I got butterflies in my stomach looking at those pictures

really beautiful hat ... and that bash just completely grabbed my attention

well done my friend
Thanks Anthony. I was so very happy when I opened the shipping box that this one came in.... I wasn't expecting a hat this nice.
I can only take credit for the bash.... the rest is all Mallory!

All these great Mallorys. I may have found some new inspiration to break out a couple of hats that do not get nearly enough head time. Pre-Stetson Mallorys are indeed a special breed.
