The Hat Rite US Patent #2,505,403

Anybody ever see this before? It is essentially a molded piece of plastic that fits in the front of your fedora to give softer felts support for shape. It's also called a "hat stay". I recently acquired a Lee Black Label "Commentator" and it came with this apparatus. I have never seen anything like it but it is pretty cool. Here is a link to the Patent Office listing...

We use an item similar to this that is made in Germany. It is made of a molded piece of plastic that protects the hat when a person grabs it by the crown.
