How much brim will be left after Ignacio’s ministrations (voodoo)?

I am not at all sure I will have him enlarge it. It is impossible to stretch a Fifty felt, so I would loose 3 mm per size. I would therefore loose a little more than a centimeter of brim width.

It is tagged 7 1/8, but it fits perfectly, and I am a 58.5. It doesn't seem to have been stretched or resized, @BobHufford , and I can't remember if you commented on that.

Looks great on you Max! I was not aware of any sizing discrepancies as I wear a 7-1/2 LO so never tried it on and didn't measure it.

Not sure this fits the bill... the Lounge member I purchased it from said he had a second just like it. Art made some very nice modern homages as well. But here you go - Dunlap duplex, c.1940 with "sizor" adjustable sweatband feature as advertised in the 1938 ad below.

Stetson Ermine. It took Graham Thompson of Optimo four months of ozone chamber treatments and repeated cleanings to get rid of the humidity stains and the musty smell that came with them
He says it is the finest felt he has handled.

Sunday hat, perhaps?... with silk wrapped underbrim and fancy silk ribbon with tassel. The quality of the felt is spartan.

Same here... I’ve only seen this silk brim wrapping on formal hats. A dandy special? Many of the hats from this store which closed prior to WWI had much moth damage and soiling. This one is virtually intact.

I really enjoy seeing unique hats. The bad part is that there is a slim to none chance of acquiring one.
