Last night was Basil Hayden. Nice little whiskey. Very smooth over ice with a slight bite. I have some Blantons and Russell's Reserve put away for the Holidays. Bring on the cold weather as both the bar and the humidor are well stocked.

A Neighbour presented my with this for Christmas, its heavenly, it tastes like Honey and red wine mixed together at $28.00 a 500ml Bottle its a tad expensive, but one to remember for special occasions. :eusa_clap

Last night's appetizer -

Home-made eggnog (none of that store-bought chemical soup for me) as follows:
4 oz. milk
1 oz. heavy cream
1 egg (raw - yeah, I know, but you have to live dangerously to really live!)
2 oz. brandy
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1/2 oz. simple syrup

Shake thoroughly with ice. Pour into a chilled glass, sprinkle with nutmeg, and it's Happy Holidays.

Tonight it was my standard Marker's Mark Manhattan. It is just about the perfect cocktail for me. I like trying different drinks but I always come back to it.
