Nikka apple brandy for me last night...a locally produced calvados from apples in Aomori prefecture

That sounds delicious. I'm a big fan of apple brandies.

If you haven't already tried it, you should try the Bentley cocktail, equal parts calvados and Dubonnet Rouge. If you enjoy calvados, you should love it.

Couple of British ales this evening for enjoyment:

Good old Boddingtons which I always enjoy and a new one to me...

Cairngorm Sheep Shaggers (which my Aussie mates will no doubt give me hell over being a Kiwi )

And the wife has a bottle of NZ Oyster Bay Sauv Blanc to unwind with.

Had a couple of Guinesses the other evening which I haven't had for yonks, mighty enjoyable they were too!
