Sorta like some hats and caps. The satchel, man purse, or whatever you like to call it, is a very intriguing accessory. Some men can pull it off, some simply can't.
Very simple. For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone would have a problem with this. Since my undergraduate days I've carried a shoulder bag if I was going to be out all day, and I toted books, newspapers, umbrellas, scarves, Kleenex, pens and paper, and other useful items and never once thought there was anything remotely effeminate about it. On another thread some time ago there were some indignant comments about "those Brooklyn hipsters" wearing beards and fedoras, and they reminded me of the endless grief I got when I was a kid for being one of the first to wear long hair. I often wonder what it is in some people that they have to impose their limited world-views on others.
O, this is a nice thread. I like man bags.
@Edward the Indy adventure bag is interesting. The distressed seems more appealing.
The leather looks off, plastic like somehow. It definitely looks like it has more character. I'd like a black edc that sort of size too, but in the one photo on the Wested site, the black version just looks... odd somehow.

Hard to tell. I did an image search but couldn’t really find anything. Looks like a useful size; I might get that myself as a replacement for my canvas satchel and the Indy boots I had to sell.Yes. It's probably better in reality - I find tbh most Wested stuff I've seen for real is nicer than the product photos on the website - but it does just look off. could be black just doesn't work for that design!
