Ultra-light weight with thin, but shape-holding felt and an equally thin button-off Carter type sweatband. Small and tidy Improved Cavanagh Edge on a 2-1/4" brim and about 6" open crown. Sorry no head shot as its a skimpy 7 rather than the listed 7-1/4-7-3/8. No body paperwork remains.
Thanks Monte! I didn't have one that color and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. It almost matches Art's sahara color.Rogera, wow, nice vintage find. I have no answers... but I have two ties (at least) that would work well with that lid.
Hey everyone I have a hat age question. I just picked up a Dobbs Fifteen today with a Guild Edge and 2 3/4" brim. It looks 40's to me but I don't know. It has a cloverleaf for the back bow as well.
Thanks in advance for any info you might have!
Thanks Brad. The sweat is pretty stiff. I'll try to get under it and get some pics.
Thank you very much! The second tag confirms it's circa 1955-1960 or so.

Interesting. It looks like a heather gray that I have made by Crofut and Knapp. Same company eventually anyway. That is a heather brown color from the photos, right?
Yes, a heather Brown nearing Olive. The narrower felt ribbon was used by Borsalino as well. Your slightly wider band I've seen on other HCA brands too(Knox, Dobbs) as well as Mallory.
