So as a valuable take away from this: It's not measures only that define fit.
True, I remember me trying on an Irvin and felt like Hulk.Especially when talking about jackets with a thick ass lining or shearling jackets
These are G-Star Raw 5620 Elwood loose.Yes, the wider trousers go with the shorter and less trim jacket very well. What are those trousers btw?
I have a different story. I went to a restaurant and handed my Silverman's N-1 to a cloak room attendant. She said - "Oh, that jacket is so heavy!" . She made my day. Lol.I had mine altered. Make sure the tailor knows his or her stuff. It's not as easy as with mall jackets, all seams are true felled seams and the knit cuffs are integrated in a complicated way. I had mine tapered from below the ellbow down to the wrists. But I have a good tailor. He is 85 and a tailor in the 4th generation. There is a funny story about him, who we all call "Flinke Nadel": last time I went down to his shop, he had his hand bandaged. I asked him, what he did with his hand. He looked at me and it started. You know - he said - I have doves. I said: oh, was it an infection because of contact with animals? He said no. There is a ladder up to my doves - he continued - and on my way down I had my little finger cought in the attachment of the ladder and when I was down, I could see it dangling loose on my hand. I said: You sure called the ambulance, of course! He: "Ambulance? No. I went into the village and to the Doc and asked if he could fix this. Of course they called the ambulance without further ado. Can you imagine, they drove me all the way into town (which is 10 miles away) and had a hand surgeon look at it. The surgeon said, I can try to save the finger with a risk of infection or amp it. I asked, how long would I be away from working if you sew the finger back on. He said, half a year. I said no way. He amputed the finger right away and I am back to work after 4 weeks. Who needs a little finger."
THAT'S A GUY.
Well done, mate, thumbs up!Probably has been posted here before I am just posting it again, the different contract numbers and dating, according to the info I found online
those times are long gone by over here... we are forced to hang our jackets over our chairbacks.to a cloak room attendant
That's not entirely bad if the jacket is valuable - I'd rather keep it with me.those times are long gone by over here... we are forced to hang our jackets over our chairbacks.
How things develop, we are maybe even better off when we don't take it off while we eat. They start to save energyThat's not entirely bad if the jacket is valuable - I'd rather keep it with me.
This is a valuable resource. I have added it to "Links to Important Threads."This is a query page where we can type in contract numbers and get info about makers and the lot numbers produced.
