A bit of a hybrid here. My new cap is a four panel, eight dart, inspired by an old ad of a similar design and a bizarre old cap I saw pics of here on the lounge a while back that was a regular eight dart with a button floating in the top of the crown.
The Argonne. 4 panel, 8 dart cap in French 1910s NOS cotton flannel. Unlined, to allow the fuzzy flannel to be enjoyed. I can wear this in warm or cool weather - light as a feather, but warm. Leather band & brim, vintage UC snap.
Another 'Argonne' quarter panel 8-dart cap, this time in vintage striped wool, 1900s Italian polished cotton shirting liner, leather sweat/visor and a killer vintage brass snap.
This just in from Johnnie! A special 4-panel with masterful pattern-matching. Fits really well. The light wool is amazingly comfortable, breathable and warm.
That's a stunner, Greg - looks perfect on you. Great work, JC! I've been working on my own four-panel newsboy and I know what a bitch it is to get it right!!
