The Cap Faction

Here is my Sterkowski cap.

They call this style the 'beret cap' which alludes to it's large, round crown.
I am very pleased with it. The crown is not attached to the brim, however, due to it's size it is not liable to flip up like a peaked hat.
It very adjustable, and naturally drapes to one side when you put it on. It also exposes the brim in a way that I find more flattering than a cap which is completely covered by the crown.
The lining is viscose and it has a split leather sweatband. There is no quilting or polyester insulation, which is as it should be with a quality wool cap, as the wool does all the insulating and the viscose lining lets it breathe.
No bells or whistles, a bread and butter cap in a versatile grey flannel.

Thank you!
It's good to see more manufacturers go for the wider look, and dare I say the Fedora Lounge has some influence on the market.

Agree, worn with aplomb
I think I wear this one more confidently that I did my less conspicuous caps. Seems counter-intuitive, but a wider cap just suits me more!

Good looking. I agree with you about more brim. And I like it to one side too!

I'm waiting for more from Simonds, as well as my first caps from Damian and Johnny! I broke down and bought a cashmere and silk Stetson newsboy yesterday. I'll try to snap a photo tomorrow!

Nothing exciting or unique but I added a Harris Tweed Hanna Hat to my collection. It is their newer touring style which has a slimmer look and a slightly narrower brim. I liked it very much when I purchased it and having read about the manufacturing methods of Harris tweed I learned to like it even more. It is in a chameleon weave of a colour and can look blue or grey or even a bit black depending on the light.

I hope to add a green and a tan weave in the near future.
