That's my American Optical shades - they're still making them the same as back in the Vietnam era when they were the military contractor. And the G-1 from Avirex, back when they were still making authentic repros.

My first custom cap, a Simonds. First one with a leather sweatband. Did I say I love caps?

Spectacular, Greg, you wear it so well! I echo what Seabass said, it'll settle right onto your head shape the more you wear it. Another soul saved! ;)

It's good to see another cap made by Barry Simonds. Since he stopped posting on the Lounge I wondered about whether he was still working. Great to see he's still out there and making great caps!

Question: what kind of cap would go well with a pea coat? I might be shopping for a pea coat this week...

Thanks everyone! These are all interesting suggestions! I think I'll start with the peacoat if I can find one, then go from there. As a lover of traditional workwear and militaria, I really should have a peacoat by now. But the scratchy wool comes through the lining. So I'll take another look this week. In NYC there are some good authentic choices. One place even sells Navy issue peacoats. Then I'll see what cap goes with it. I do like David Beckam's outfit!

I am also looking into buying a plaid pea coat for myself, I was thinking riverjuction trade co wool mackinaw coats.

Anyway, my son snapped a photo of me today while I was tying my shoes, I figured I shall share some of my recent Cordova purchases
