Sorry... I'm a noob at hats and caps... I've got one Biltmore, two Stetsons, 4 straw hats from this summer and a VS coming but that about the extent of my knowledge... 'Who's Barry?

It would take a little time to get the adjustable buckle just right but it is a sick hat an I am sure others would be interested in getting one

Touche... No in all honesty I could see a lot of people rockin' the more outlandish colors. American athletes feel the more garish the better.

It's lovely fabric. I'm a great fan of the Shepherd's Check. The large sized crown button would tend to suggest a newer date (late 50s onwards) on it. What is the sweatband material made of?

Old leather - still supple, but definitely old...

It seem to be cut just like the golden era caps, but because of the big button, black sweatband and acetate (?) liner, I'd still plump for late 50s.

There are more of those denim caps available, btw. The smallest one is 58.5 cm, however, so if you wear a 7 1/8, I think it'll be too big. Unfortunate, but these caps were all in large sizes. I don't even have one for myself!

I'm actually a 58+, so that may be what the doctor ordered! I stretched the cap above to fit me, which it does now beautifully.
