The color "Lentisco"(Mastic) is actually more intense in person. Fantastic mid-length Velour Finish.

Whipstitched edge with a Homburg-style curl. Crown is in the 5-3/4"+ range.

Another super find! It jumps out of the screen! The Velour finish does look fantastic.

Light Charcoal Gray(underside view best rep.). Borderline Homburg-curl. Nice silk liner with red piping. Light and soft felt. Factory stamp with script Borsalino/1900 and separate size stamp that seems to have been used WW2 and earlier(not sure how far back).

Borsalino Export Qualität

Black, size 5 1/2 Punti, missing wind trolley button, probably early - mid 1960s. The brim can be worn up or down. I have a Wegener and Mayser of similar style and weight. In hand this would not feel like most Borsalinos people have encountered.

I'm not exactly sure why but I bought my first "vintage" fedora on Ebay. It looked, nice, had a reasonable starting bid and I entered it. I wasn't expecting to buy it but nobody else bid. At any rate it is a Borsalino stingy brim in black. The brim is 1 3/4", The crown is 4 1/4" at the front and 5 1/8" at the highest point point. The edges are finished by being turned under and then sewn. The grosgrain band is 2 1/4" wide. The crown is finished in a center dent and side pinches. I was surprised at the condition of the hat. There is some wear evident on the sweatband but the felt and hat band are flawless. Here are some images. Can someone out there ID it possibly?
