The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

I upsized two of these for a relative by marriage. They were his father's and he was thrilled to have them upsized so he could wear them.....for the life of me could not figure out why??? I found them weird and creepy but thought if I ever wanted a pet I would get one of these in its stead. No walkies, no feeding, no plastic baggies....perhaps the perfect pet,

I like the velour and long hair finishes. I have a couple MGLs and I’m always on the lookout for another. My wife hates these “special” finishes and doesn’t even like touching them.

The brim is stingier than I normally prefer, but this hat’s other qualities more than make up for it.

That is great catch, Brent. Mark @M Hatman sent me one of these and I was blown away by its quality. Lovely hand to the felt and shapes like a dream. On a smaller size the proportions are just right (for my taste at least). They should have upscaled the proportions more perhaps for a larger size.

Something else entirely. I don't care much for boaters I'll freely admit, but this one I needed to own.
Borsalino boater. Size 56 with the brim at 5cm and the crown at 9cm. Excellent condition. The owner was born in 1896 and it was sold to me by his daughter. Hard to tell the age. Borsalino didn't make boaters themselves of course, so this was sourced. First time I've seen a Borsalino boater though.

Brent, great catch! It looks good on you too! I think I have the exact same hat in my size :)

What a fantastic find, Stefan.

I'll forget you said that bit about not caring for Boaters :)

Great, following Alan again!

Marque Grande Luxe in a mauve/dusty rose. 5 1/2” open crown and a 2 1/4” raw edge brim. Love the felt!

And yes, it is a 7 punti or 61cm! Thank you @Daniele Tanto
Don't worry, Brent. It can hold its own; those MGL Borsalinos are wonderful hats. Great catch!

What he said! Super find and very happy it's the right "7" after all, though either Stefan or me would have gladly taken it from your hands ;)

A great ser this week, Panos.

Next, another imported grey lobbia. Unfortunately, unknown model and color since there is no label :( Also, no logo printing on the sweatband. I guess it could have been restored locally at some time point since the selling store printing on liner and sweatband don't match.
