The BORSALINO BROTHERHOOD

Fantastic find, Steve. Not only is the hat very beautiful in color and shape, but it's also a model name we haven't seen before. So the "dragosti" is added to the list. Interesting is that both on this one and the previous one the upper left code consists only of letters, which is not very common. We've only seen that on a small number of hats, three of which were Simeon Zlateff hats.
Stefan, Thanks again! More great observations. I thought I might had a couple "Dragosti" but they are Echter Borsalino "Gastesan". They are very similar in Form, Dimension and Time Period. I will have to check my Simeon Zalteff I believe is from the same time period which is not post WWII.

A new hat that fits? How novel.

Echter Borsalino "Qualità Superiore" "Caffè" "--" "Dragosti", FP 5, possibly late 1930s. This is the 5th hat of a 9 hat find and the 2nd "Dragosti" in "Caffè". The smooth coffee colored Felt is of a medium weight and easily dry creases. Medium width Ribbon with a sporty Bow design. This hat was most likely sold in Eger / Cheb Czechoslovakia (prior to WWI Austria Hungary).

Second Paper Label from the first Echter Borsalino "Qualità Superiore" "Caffè" "--" "Dragosti".

Paper Labels are exactly the same.

Stefan, Thank you! This one also had a Eulan tag at one time.

By the way I checked my Borsalino "Dragospo" Simeon Zlateff and the upper left code has 2 numbers and one letter (see below). This hat has a Eulan tag and a separate Size stamp. I couldn't find any other "Dragospo" searching this thread. I assume "Dragospo" is correct. I believe this hat and three Echter Borsalino hats from Julius Reiter Eger (Czechoslovakia) are from the same time period (late 1930s , early 1940s).

Great looking hat. As far as I can tell all the Dragospo models were Simeon Zlateff hats. Could be a coincidence or a model that was especially for that store.
