Looks like a nice one, but not an early one. These Qualitá Suprema hats are usually from the seventies. Is there a label behind the sweatband?Well, I like this Borsalino but is too small for me ( 5 1/2 or 57) , it would be nice if I were able to swap it for one in my size (60)
I am offering it on a Dutch classified ads site.

Absolutely wonderful, Alan.
It certainly looks it Alan, and it is indeed one of the most beautiful misto felt hats I've seen. Its proportions are so eye-catching, and the diamond crease just adds to its allure. It's a beauty for sure. Thanks Steve... I get a little misto-eyed every time I pull it out. ;^)
I'm a big fan of the over-welt brim edge. I think this is the most refined sewn edge I have handled.

A Borsalino made in the golden age when the search for felt, color, shape and finish was a must in Alessandria.A Borsalino Ipersca in misto Ionio...
I just picked this one up off the bay and thought it might make for a good beater. Moth nibbles, some tracks under the brim, looks like the wind strap had been cut, possible soiling, but the color and the condition of the leather caught my eye. Sure enough, it arrived as a total beater, but after a little tune up, it sure cleaned up nicely! I've never creased a diamond before but the thing I did seems to work well for this one. I love the color, it's this kind of a stone greyish brownish greenish color that looks great with most of the stuff I wear. Inside it says Palladio Ta/Ludora and there's what looks like a $20 tag. Seems serendipitous that I won it with just a $20 bid! The nibbles actually give it some nice character, it's got me wonderin', is it even a beater anymore? Lol
