The Best Leather in the World...

I just received the saddlebags that I ordered for my Harley. Have not got them installed yet ... but figured some here may be interested

I ordered these bags for the old school cool look on my Deluxe. I can't wait to go on a long trip with them. They are superbly crafted out of 13oz Hermann Oak leather... reinforced with fiberglass backing and steel.

Looks pretty cool. Interesting way of having the shape / solidity of fibreglass and metal with a more traditional look. The leather business "card" is a neat touch. Probably costs them less than actual cards too, as I assume they are made fom offcuts. It also strieks me that it's a sample of the leather and a card all in one....

Hermann oak makes good leather. Love their old world harness leather.

Yes it can't cost them anything as they sent me 4 cards!

Very nice! Looks like a suit of armour could be made out of the leather. I believe that is also what is used in the soles of Nick's boots.
