Suitsupply's suits generally get priced as a good value for money for people interested in modern suits. Their shirts, though, are said to not really be worth the price that they are asking.

But if I'm not mistaken, they do offer free shipping (and free return shipping), so one can always return it for a full refund if one's not completely happy with it.

I have several suitsupply suits and ties. I like their stuff, though I haven't tried their shirts. You can do some convincing early 20s-ish stuff with their line. Their suits are cut slim, but the rises aren't super low.

Suit Supply - I walked into its NYC store awhile back and the style is all over the map. Definitely youth-oriented vibe, and a trendy, on-the-skinny-side cut to many of its items, but as shown above by the tab collar shirt, with a good eye, one can pull out some very vintage inspired items for a, seemingly, reasonable cost-to-value ratio.

That said, the store was poorly organized and I was in a rush, so I didn't buy anything - hence, the above comment is just a surface impression.

in fact, for me this is the best of the modern offerings so far ... £99 isn't cheap though for a first go.

You could take a look in one of their stores the next time that you are in London and see if they are worth the money. http://eu.suitsupply.com/en_SE/stores?countryCode=GB

The price when ordered from Sweden is just €79/£62 - I could order for you if you want, and bring them with me when I go to London next month. The shipping is free on orders over €100.

New tab shirt I have been playing around with a bib front, this is a nice heavy red, cream and blue 7oz cotton - they won't be part of the denim kickstarter I am launching next week as SJC but will be coming down the pipe soon.

Simon: I like the idea of the bib front. I wouldn't have expected to, but I do. What I would say is I think it would look better if it wasn't a fully opening front. I think it would look splendid if the placket din't extend beyond the bib.

Thanks TT yes that's good, also i was thinking of mildly or starkly contrasting bibs in the same fabric. Perhaps we need a bib shirt page?

Simon the shirt looks awesome, but I agree with Two Types and think it would look even cooler as a tunic shirt with the placket ending at the bottom of the bib. I can see the amount of work thats gone into the bib. You've got a good shirtmaker!

I had a look at these shirts in their shop yesterday. Here are my thoughts:

The tab is not tight enough (but that could be easily altered).

The cut is 'extra skinny', so it doesn't have a vintage shape (but would probably be suitable for customers of a youthful shape).

The collar is a nice shape.

The fabric is a thin cotton poplin. As such, there is a 'bleed through' of colour from the blue stiching in the design. This is particularly noticeable on the collar.

For £79 I would have liked a thicker fabric.

Conclusion: Nice, but not nice enough.
