I re watched the you tube thing probably over 30 times. Growing up in the early 1950's she reminds me of Kate Smith. There are so many types of material she could record on CD. Pop, Broadway & even patriotic tunes. Would I buy a SB CD? YES, if she mixes it up & delivers it with the same vocal intensity she displayed on the show.

IMO Simon knew her talent level before she even sang a note, but the other two judges & audience appeared to be in the dark. Solid Citizen

Bingo! Simon knew it would make a fine TV "Kodak moment" and planned his on-camera reaction accordingly. No fool, he. Publicity, folks, publicity!

Speaking truth to power! Yes, it is a farce. Not Susan's singing, but this whole mythology built around her in order to raise a show's ratings. I remember watching the judges' on-camera reactions to Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream and thinking, "They look so fake, so planned, so self-aware." The only true reactions came from the audience -- unless it was being told to applaud even louder, which is possible.

Those really obvious on-camera reactions are fake - they all admitted in a documentary that in all of these reality/talent/audition shows they film a load of extra reactions and silly faces afterwards and then edit them in!

IMHO, 2 singing stars have fell from the constellation and been given as gifts to us at the moment.
. Celine and now Susan Boyle. Do you hear the crowd in the link. I think they feel the same.

She sings and I and many others weep in the deepest part of our beings.

Just wait and see how big she becomes..
