Somebody mentioned a dislike button and Moon is talking about a thread annoyance. So to give Moon, and others, rspect, instead of disliking, perhaps we could have some sort of smiley called: Moon's Moon.

It would be nice for the people with a HUGE amount of likes to get a prize like a really nice Hats being a Hats Forum . Other sites do similar things , but the Mods have to cough up the dough , and buy the stuff . Its usually at Christmas , or they run a Crazy Contest humiliating the few that are brave enough to go for it , usually a few Mods and a Few Crazy Regulars . Nice stuff though .

OK, this is going to make me look like an idiot but I'm going to ask it anyway. I don't post much but I have read a lot of posts here, as well as many other forms, and I really do not understand what "+1 " means (besides "like") or where it came from. Anyone care to enlighten a forum delinquent?

Basically that you agree with or share the opinion(s) of a particular post. In real language it means "Me too" but that's six taps on the keyboard( including the spacer) as opposed to 2................we all know how busy internauts can be & their short attention spans.

Thanks Joao and Lean' n' mean, I guess I sort of get it now. The savings of a couple of key strokes to me doesn't mean much. When it comes down to it I'm not that busy but, that attention span gets shorter all the time. The last time I was told I had a short attention span I hit the Sargent when I saluted, ha. Not really!

Side note, and yes, it's OFF topic, but it's NOT a Deficit, nor a Disorder. That label was conjured up by those envious of the unique ability to keep many conversations going at once, or many balls in the air; eventually circling back to the topic at hand. Would VanGogh have painted as he did if they'd medicated him?
