[Fedora]

You know, I have become quite a fan of the vintage Stetsons. Basically, my knowledge comes from what I have bought on ebay, and what I have heard here and at COW, with one member being particularly helpful(thanks fedoralover). Well, I just bought that Stetson book from ebay that covers the different hats, models, etc, up until 1970. Should be very interesting for a hat fanatic like myself. I can't stand having just a little knowledge about my interests. I figure the book may fill me in on what to look for since I may never buy another new hat. regards, Fedora

I have eight (8) current vintage Stetson hats...and another 10 or so that are off to be disposed of...(wrong size, duplicates, poor contition *I'm a snob).
The Stetson book is very useful.

My favorite is the Stetson Whippet, the Deluxe, and the Stetson Royale De Luxe.
I have sold about 20 hats from Stetson ( Play Boy) ant others.

I have another batch of Homburgs...again duplicates.

Should we start selling hats on this fourm instead of Ebay.....?

It might be neat if you could post some information on how to identify vintage Stetsons. This might be something we can add to the hat section on the main page.

I actually just bought a bunch of vintage hats which haven't arrived yet, and you never know what you're going to get, exactly, until you see them. In some cases, they were auctions for hat lots and I know that for either size or color, there are some I just know I won't wear (and there's no sense in my keeping a hat I won't wear). Anything like that, I plan to put in the classifieds here.

Coincidentally, I just bought that Stetson book from eBay too, though it hasn't arrived yet.

Did I mention size 7?
