51 block built with 3 1/2” x 5 1/2” OC dimensions. 3 ply ribbon with matching brim binding. Western weight, dense felt with a pliable crown that requires steam to hold a crease. Shadows of the ’centerfire crease’ remain but are light. No flaws to the felt. 2” sweat is soft, pliable and shows little wear. Liner is in good shape with light foxing.

$300 + shipping. Offers of trades considered. Most interested in similarly styled hats and other western dress hats.

You don't think a liberal application of Pecards Leather Dressing & a month on a band block works?

honestly not sure, haven’t been down that road yet. But for as nice as it is, and given the price I’d rather leave it a proper 1/2 and let someone else enjoy. Eyes still peeled for a Nutria western at 5/8 though.

I certainly agree, and the specs sound great too. Only other box for me is the horseback rider liner, but maybe I should give this a go.

Bama, would you say it’s on the larger end of 1/2?

No, sir. It is 8 1/8” x 6 7/8". I wish it was. Looking at the sweat, with slight ripples, the hat may have shrunk a bit from not being worn but that's a subjective observation on my part.

I accepted an offer on this hat and I've been cultivating crickets ever since. Hence, the almost daily drop in price. I'm open to offers and conversations.
