Stetson most expensive hat

Thought I’d bump this thread with (from what I’ve found) the largest hat Stetson ever made. CB at that, 10” crown and 7” would make me think this would be a contender (less the blingy hatband and case above) for most expensive as well. Really would be nice to get better pics of this extraordinary western.

I wasn't thinking it was the hat band. Silver and gold obviously upped the price more than the hat was worth. It was the "it took 43 skilled workers a whole year" that I find to be nonsense.

NO IT"S NOT, they were all really little, got really close and shaped their two square inches a little at a time.

If you even remotely believe "the 43 skilled workers took a year" you ought to learn how to build a nice hat. Must be starting at first finding, then trapping those beavers, feeding, then skinning the sheep, and mining the gold and silver, with the entire train crew to move the ore to the smelter, and including the smelter crews and the armed guards doing the transport. PT Barnum had it right up front first time around.

Poor old beaver pelts would need a full year just to rest up before getting a shave. Best add that beaver barber as well
