Lovely Flagships Anthony and Robert. The wide ribboned Royal De Luxe Flagships are truly special fedoras. Thanks for sharing.

awesome thank you ... this is very similar to my taupe Flagship
such a great hat ... you can just feel the quality as soon as it touches your hands

An older Flagship. This one has the Petersham ribbon and the overwelt treatment. I purchased it unlined and when it showed up a period correct liner was in the box with it when it arrived. I don't know if this liner came with the hat originally. My guess is it was a replacement for some reason.

I wish it were in my size range, but that's how it goes sometimes. Felt is a tan/olive color with a purpleish ribbon (probably a replacement)

yeah that ribbon is most likely replaced ... I'd say definitely actually
but it has what Stetson called the "Wafer Edge" which neither of my Flagships have.... very cool feature that I believe was added to the model in the late 40s or possibly 1950 ... I could be wrong

I'll have to research up the Water Edge, sounds interesting. I really like the treatment it adds to the brim. I wish it had the origin ribbon, I'll give it some "shim" and see how I like it. Tried giving it to the old man, and well, that's another story haha. His some is more 7 3/4 territory... learned something new. If it does "shim" well, I'll have to send it out to be properly dressed up with a ribbon again. This TAR makes it look a tad ridiculous

Thank you Justin those are very kind words.
“Learnt it all from You!”. You all are to blame! Ha. I spent a long apprenticeship snipering the bay, sucking all the knowledge out of all your brains, studying old threads, etc etc,waiting till the last 5 secs to pull, then looking here to see who got my hat!. I’ve enjoyed the banter, despised the arguments, hated the politics. I’ve done ok so far but i’d be a fool to think i knew “S__t from Shinola” compared to you, Justin,and many many others. I’m just glad to have a place to play!! Thank you to all of you.
