Back in about 1998 I was transiting through Hawaii on a 36 hr stopover and went to a garage sale at a guys house. There was a '58 Squarebird on the front lawn.

The tenant was moving house. I mentioned the car. He said that he had sold it to a guy in New York 12 months ago and it had never been picked up even though it had been paid for in full.

"You want it? You can have it and title if you get it out of the yard today"

I was flying out that day. I always wonder.....

Reading this almost made me shed a tear or two. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a decent '58 - '60 for my personal ride. I only hope my lovely wife will drive the '67 we now have.
