Obviously the jacket is 1 or two sizes too big... Or that would probably be the consensus here apart from Plumbline (or me). There is a chance that maybe Mr Ford just does not care, it's just a leather jacket. Mine fits like that, but with shorter sleeves, no tunnelling, but that was by accident

I'm fairly certain that his A-2 is from The Cockpit; I have one myself and it's decent quality (seal brown goatskin, one-piece back, cotton lining, no hand-warmer pockets).
The guy is 70+ years old and probably just wants a comfortable, loose fitting, waist-length leather jacket.

That I think is the best way to describe 99% of the public. It's easy to forget the bigger picture when one spends a lot of time discussing these things in internet forums and bulletin boards, etc. However, the extra long sleeves would bug me.

The jacket looks very new - very little creasing on the sleeves.

Perhaps when he had worn it a few times, he realised how huge it was, sent it off to Plumbline, and bought himself the correct size!

In real life, Mr. Ford is an accomplished fixed wing and helicopter pilot who has flown medevac missions in his native Wyoming. There is at least one news account where a dehydrated couple were rescued by him. So he is entitled to wear any pilot's jacket he wants, I think. He's the real deal.
