In between 15-20 degrees Celsius I use a denim and L-2 jackets. Denim is my favorite clothing material so I don't miss other jackets. Anyway there's plenty of time the rest of the year to wear those. I just try to enjoy the summer.
I am amazed that people from Northern hemisphere complain about 30 deg Celsius. It's quite normal for the summer. As long as it's under 40 deg it's quite bearable. In my country of origin (Romania) there is the temperate continental climate. From June to August the temperature is usually in the 30-40 deg range.

Both of the below pics are considered very normal range for Sydney. Actually, we would get several days above 40 degrees in a normal summer. and Sydney's weather is very acceptable in comparison to many other parts of this wonderful country.

The running theory is the mods here decided to poke fun at the words by censoring them. There's a very lengthy "why the Sixties ruined everything" thread in the Observation Bar. Eh, they may have had a point, but not musically. lol

The odd thing is that the whole vintage clothing thing, particularly work clothes, began with the hippies in the late '60's and early '70's (my favorite illustrator, Robert Crumb, is a case in point). In the '70's, the clothing of the punk scene was almost entirely furnished by vintage or army/navy shops.

Errr... I'll give you a pass on Patti Page... But Pat Boone's "version" of "Tutti Frutti" is a miscarriage to music. On "The History of Rock n' Roll" they showed Pat's version and Little Richard's side by side.... I'm sure it's on Youtube. It's the worst slaughter since Christians v. Lions. He should NEVER have recorded that song! Crooner maybe, Rock n' Roller????? NEVER!!!!

It was hot and humid in my Kitchen where I work to the point tonight where I was going borderline insane from it.

Its Just one more thing in my stressful Day that was pushing me to the Edge of what I can tolerate in a stressful work environment.

Do you not find the L2 awfully hot for that? I find the heat in mine builds up pretty fast. Great for cooler days, though. Mine's the Alpha Vintage Series L2A; one day I'll have to get myself the Buzz...

It's going that way in London - though this year, mercifully, it's stayed in the 20s mostly. I've never liked the heat, but it's also a serious depression trigger for me, which is another reason to hate it.

True. I think it's a mix of things... not least that the stereotypical imagery of the smelly, unkempt hippy is something against which folks who are into the sort of styles we are round here can see themselves in opposition. I think sometimes for some folks there's also a political angle to it. It's relatively rare here in the UK, but there are some who regret significant social chances since the tail end of the forties and particualrly into the sixties, and consequently see 'vintage' as some way to keep alive hteir idea of a dream time before that happened.

Yeah it's in the 90's here as well. Humid and sticky... Hold fast my good man and don't do anything "rash"! As the kids are fond of saying.... "Winter IS Coming!" I even have a GoT Tee shirt with that saying, but here, after LAST winter all I get is hateful stares from everyone. Last winter was rugged even by my standards.... I'll take a few more days of sticky icky over 4 feet of snow and 10 inches of perma-frost... at least for the time being

It was a mighty toasty and humid 32C all weekend (and again today) and with the wind, it was like being in a fan-assisted oven set to Gas Mark 4!
The only respite I really found was when I was in The Beer Store - it was so delightfully dry and cool in there! It must've been about 8C. What a RELIEF! Soooo nice. And they even had what I went for: a dozen cans of Belhaven Scottish Stout. Fantastic! I could have pulled up a deck chair and opened one up right in there …
