Some experiences on velours-imitation, made of polyestre?

This isn't really the greatest place to discuss synthetics. I wonder if the suit section might be a better place to talk fabric qualities?

I can say that even artificial fabrics come in better and worse versions and some mixes. Some poly-corduroy I've seen is stronger than cotton cord. But the look is different. She sheen is too bright.

Fake velvet will always feel and look slightly wrong. Genuine velvet doesn't breathe well given its density but it probably breezes better than the artificial version.

What is the garment?

Ha - they were huge in 1974, I remember. I had a blue one and a red one. The hipsters probably think they are cool retro items. Or maybe not....

It's a nice looking field-jacket (metal-zipper + button-tape!). Not the cheapest.

It's really not worth it. You will find that the fake polyester pile just moults and moults.

You will be leaving more of a trail than most feline buddies all around you. It is impossible to wash without clogging up the washing machine. You can try and dry clean it, but it is going to develop a shiny sheen.

These polyester things should never have been created.
