The Borsa is sold. Thanks!!

In order to make room for some new purchases, I've decided I need to sell this great vintage Borsalino.

The hat is in really nice condition, both inside and out and of course has that unique Borsalino style. The felt has that incredibly soft feel that these hats are known for and I can see no sign of any insect damage.

I'd much prefer to have a fellow Lounger give this fine hat a home, rather than some random eBay buyer so here's your chance for $165.00 shipped in the Continental US.

The open crown is about 5 1/2 inches and the bound brim I measure to be 2 7/8 inches. The black ribbon is just about 1 7/8 inches wide.

A stylish hat from one of the most sought after hat makers at a competitive price - what's not to love? Please let me know by PM if you want it!

With a different ribbon, that one could be a dead ringer for Johnny Depp's beat up fedora. A great lid, someone will be very happy with it, but too big for me!

Thanks guys - that's the deal isn't it? Always too big or too small :D

Jlee, because the felt is so soft and easy to shape, it is simple to mold it to that Johnny Depp disheveled look.
I sometimes refer to this hat as The Deppolino!!

After close study of hats you have sold and shared (as others have done often) I have decided to investigate the purchase of a hat stretcher! Why one may ask? Simple, I see so many hats I would have screamed to have owned but then the size....two sizes, three sizes too small....(sigh and tears dripping)...sniffle...so I desire to remedy this major problem of hats not being at least 7 3/8 and do some study and ask some questions from those that have the professional hat stretchers and see what brand and model would be the best for me to purchase. I have seen a few pictures of ones that you sit your hat on and they are like hat blocks made of what appears to be metal, (not those little shove in a twist the middle expansion rod) and have to think I need one like that.
(taking any input on that matter)......

I grind my teeth when I see super hats such as yours that I can't buy. That was a good one, especially if you say the felt is fine. But I guess I can't have every hat that crosses the radar screen. It's the second I've seen today on this site.

I hear ya, Dan.

What I've done is started a policy of keeping my hat quantity the same and selling one if I want to buy one.

It actually works pretty well - I have to really want a new hat to be prepared to sell one of my existing ones. Obviously getting harder as well, I have no hats in my small collection that I wouldn't love to keep. It was like that with this Borsalino - I found a hat I think is an upgrade so I sold it, even though it is a really nice hat.

Did you check out the hat Aureliano has for sale? That's a really cool Italian fedora at a great price!

This Borso is lovely. I have one almost identical and 'love it.' So buttery and so stylish. Tomorrow may never come Gents - so go treat yourself 'today.' :)
