Or has someone actually seen a "Slutty Male Nurse" costume?
Probably in West Hollywood and not just on Halloween.

I will be glad to get back to jobs I can do myself, I never stand myself up!We are doing a home renovation project and have learned that many vendors, dealers, tradespeople don't call back, show up, etc. All I can conclude is that everyone's business is so successful that they don't need more business. We just tried to hire a company to help do some smoke damage cleanup.
One company I called was "very excited to win my business and said he'd come over when I was ready for an estimate." He went on to explain that his business was a family affair and that they only survived by reputation, "so please gives us a chance to win your business." When I called him back three days later to set up a day and time for him to come in, I left a message on his voice mail two days in a row and, now, a week later, still haven't heard back.
This goes on all the time. Appliance dealers who don't call back - we practically begged one to take our money. Window companies, tile companies, plumbers, electricians - we've had to chase down or have been ignored by all of these. To be fair, we've had some great experiences with companies that are reliable, seem to truly want your business and truly do a good job at a fair price, but we were stunned at how many seem not to care about getting business.

They are missing a trick. Last Sunday was the day dedicated to single guys but as yet, no one has cottoned onto Palm Sunday.
Ah....the ever popular boxer-brief hybrid. I had no idea what you were talking about by retro-shorts.
No thanks. I prefer plain old boxers. I prefer 'em loose enough that worn elastic is a moot point. They're only under there in case I split my pants, there's something between my *** and the rest of the world.
Which brings me to something trivial, but really ticks me off. Now days there seems to be a trend toward stretchy knit waist bands of the tighty whitey variety stitched along the top edge of the shorts, as opposed to the good old fashioned industrial strength elastic band sewn INSIDE, where it belongs. I remember when I was young, my old man used to wear the kind that had little grippers or snaps in front, and could be unfastened like a pair of pants. Sometime in the early 80s, best I recollect, these began disappearing in favor of the elastic all the way around variety. More than once I can remember him bellyaching about this turn of events, and thinking to myself wtf difference does it make. Well, now I know. I stand corrected, Dad.

I'm not sure what a "lovekiller" is,
Prehaps he meant 'passion killer'
April Fool's Day.
The most annoying day of the year.
I got taken at this morning's staff meeting by the announcement that our executive director was being replaced by a local business personality I find highly distasteful, on the ground that "the board feels a man would be better suited for the job." I was already on my feet calling for a wildcat strike before I realized what day it was.
