Okay, it isn't 30s vintage, but of all the more modern suit I have seen, this one is one of the best vintage looks I have seen. It is from the late 70s I would say. It caught my eye with the style and traditional fabric. Even the arm lining is different color. I picked it up to pass on to someone who could appreciate it so i am just asking for cost. I am $25 into it so for $35 I will ship (US) it to whoever is interested. Please PM rather than add to thread so I can tell who is first. It is a nice light weight wool, but not so light as to look bad. It is two button jacket with vest and pants. the pants are cut with a little flair, which is actually consistant with some 30s styles, but you might want to taper the legs in a little and put a cuff on the bottom. This would be a great suit for a guy who likes a classic quality look.
If you are dead set on a vintage wardrobe but just starting out, you can use this till you find a good vintage replacement. the quailty is good and it should serve you well.
The size is about 35 or 36. The pics are me and I wear a 38. You can see it is a bit snug. The chest is 19 across, 29 from bottom of collar to bottom of jacket, 23 from shoulder to cuff, pants are 29 inches but could be taken out to 32. The inseam is 30 inches with no cuff, but enough to take down and put a cuff for a 30 inch inseam with cuff.
The thigh are about 19 inches and the cuff is about 20 inches. The pants are flat front.
the shoulders are soft shoulders for a great 30s look. The tag says Nordstrom which signifys good quality.
The jacket has a vent in the back which could be closed for a better vintage look. The arm holes are pretty high. It is obvious the designer was going for a vintage look somewhat.
the condition is perfect as far as I can tell.
