I asked for extra grainy normally it is not this much. Jacket is just a year old. I am glad it turned out like this. Here it is brand new.

It's fascinating to me how the tumbled cxl looks broken in so much even though when it is new. That extra grainy request turned out nicely

That JL fit you so well, wish 1 of my jackets fit that way

Graining dimple on triangle cuff webbing/ gusset, and grain lost into smooth gloss around cuff edge. This is my 7yrs cow with pebble grain that squeaks alot around the sleeve panel also the area near the zipper on the triangle gusset is tinted green a little maybe due to brass oxidation staining the black leather

Beautiful stuff. So much for the theory that Brooks have a great cut/pattern but uninspiring leather.

Holds true for this specific jacket at least. Gold label which if I remember correctly is 60’s? I had a red label Brooks that had leather that was very meh. It was also too big so I gave it away.

Very Clean c.1960 Taubers of California Horsehide racing shirt. Beautiful horsehide. Talon main zip, Talon Tear Drops on the pockets, Talon on the sleeves. All of their jackets were Horsehide until sometime in the 60s/70s with the Orange label. They were a local San Francisco maker so custom jackets show up. Some had quilt linings, shirt collar, no back yoke, The Steerhide jackets are nice, similar but a bit more "modern" than these Horsehide jackets. The Horsehide jacket are pretty much motorcycle gear.

Sears too!

SONY-DSC.jpg

Monitor,
Is this a SEARS LEATHER SHOP or an Oakbrook or other sub-brand. I haven't seen many (if any) quality SEARS made CRs. This grain looks MUCH nicer than what I have seen. Obviously they have other jackets that are of good quality. I'm curious about the Sears CRs.....
