The grain on this old Model E was awesome. I sold this a while back. Another genius move.

Those Cals are gorgeous. I just picked up my 3rd. This last is the most banged up (loose stitches, torn liner, halfway frayed male zip) but the leather is the best of the 3 I got. I wonder if the harder life of the jacket is contributing to more characteristics, ie. more wear = more beauty That plus I think this one is horse based on the more "stretch marky" patterns, but who knows. On the fence whether to keep it as a true vintage jacket (my others could pass for new). I may bring it to Cal at some point and have them tidy up the stitches and see about the zipper. Considering I might get $300 for this, I think I may just keep as a wtf. Just hate seeing these beauties hanging in the closet all the time, but also realize as time goes by, these are going to be harder and harder to find.
