How well do clipons stay put? Just wondering!
In the days before our paramedics wore open neck shirts and green uniforms they wore a more, military style of dress, including a clipon neck tie. So my wife reliably informs me, she was in the ambulance service for 30 years. The clipon always looked smart and presentable, it never moved and you couldn't see the clip. However the reason that they never wore a tied tie was so that if grabbed by a patient, the tie came straight off without risk of choking the wearer.

The stay on really well. I wore them with thicker shirt collars(wide variety) and button down collared shirts (brooks Brothers and LL Bean). I have only worn each clipon once. Once I am back on the street I can see about further wear. They are very convenient I have to say. Needless to say they garner a lot of attention and comments.

Thank you! I'm going out of mind looking for any distraction to keep busy
Google "Desert Island Discs" BBC. It's a radio show that's been around since 1942 in which people famous in their various professions talk about the eight pieces of music they would take with them to a desert isle and why they chose them. Really interesting.

Long time, no necktie wearing here. I guess I've been leaning heavily on sweaters this winter. Pulled out this old Towncraft Deluxe today for a change of pace

^^^^^ That's a fave right there @Michael A !
Thanks Bob. I have to admit I've never seen a red headed Mallard. Maybe the designer was red/green colorblind?

Very nice tie, Dave. And that run you posted recently had some real beauties in it too.

Thanks Dale. The forecaster tells me I'll be going back to sweaters for a week or so, but the ties will start getting out more soon. I will have to get this favorite suit out again a couple of times before it heats up too much. It's a heavy one.

Thanks,
Michael
