Whoa, that's a wonderful lot of finds. I especially like the simplicity of the red foulard ties. I should probably swap some of my bold ties for those staid but cool ties, like this one. If you ever want crazy bold look ones, hit me up to trade:D

From the thrifts in NM? Some great finds, Bob! That woven Native American design one is enviable, and I'm a big fan of the copper color (on my screen, anyway) Beau Brummel, too.

That's a darn nice collection there Bob. A great day of thrifting.

Now THAT'S a necktie to contend with. I love it!

Ha ha, it's not a tie for the faint of heart.
Thanks,
Michael

I'm guessing they were having fun. I seem to recall I found this one at the thrift in Fargo ND. Maybe travel is good mojo for tie finding. Seems to have worked for you anyway. Other good stuff in the thrifts?

Thanks,
Michael

Very nice, Michael! There's something appealing about those square bottom ties to me.

Thanks Dale. I kind of like them too. Don't find many around here. Or many Roosters for that matter.

Cool outfit. What's the suit made of, it looks quite breathable?
Thanks Mondo. No idea what the suit is made out of. Brooks Brothers proprietary blend of synthetics I'm guessing. It's wash and wear. And it is quite breathable and comfortable in hot weather.

Thanks,
Michael

Hello everyone! I just joined, and it's a pleasure meeting you all. Ties are my favorite thing to talk about, and I thought this thread is perfect for me! Let me start off with one of my ties!
Purple "Coplan" jacquard tie with falling diamonds/squares. 54"x 4"
PG0qZ1F.jpg

Lining: "The Coplan Tie, Nationally Known, America's Finest" (There used to be a metal staple at the back of the front blade. Its location and the fact it wasn't one of those thin and flimsy ones we all have made me think it was there since the 40's/50's. I removed it for the sake of this photo.)

Store Label: Three Brand, N.N.N., B. Ney & Sons, Harrisonburg, VA.

What do you guys think?

Welcome to the Lounge, Necktie Guy! I love this bold look tie of yours, and hope to see more from your collection. I myself am also a sucker for snagging vintage ties--They're normally cheap and the patterns and colors are damn near limitless. If you look at previous replies on this thread, you'll see a lot of mine are bold look era, 30's-50's stuff. Hope you'll show us more of yours.
