Very interesting Roman theme on this tie: "Quo vadis", Imperial Eagles, Laurels, sunbursts... and green-white-red color evoking the Italian flag.
at least no little fasces... ;)

Does anyone know what they used to paint/dye cotton neckties? I was thinking of painting an abstract some white cotton to make a tie with, but I don't know what to use. If I used paint, it would probably crack.

I actually have fabric paint from ages ago when I was trying to paint blank white silk ties. I gave up, but I remember them becoming rock hard, and didn't bend anymore. Are you supposed to add water to them like normal paints? I wouldn't be painting silk this time, I would be painting cotton. I don't know if there is a special cotton paint.

You should try thinning it down to the consistency of water colors. Or go to the art store and get you some of the colored inks like airbrush artists use to paint t-shirts.
