I always lay them out in a horizontal position. The gold one, based on length, cut, and label is likely late-'50s.

Yes indeed. Victorian ties are rare to see but they had more flair than we think they did. The boring check and stripe is relatively recent. Black and white photos from back then don't do justice to the variety of ties they used to have.

Well I wish i could tell you they come easy but they don't.

I look far and wide, a lot of failures but with those failures comes rewards as well.
