Very British in style (unsurprisingly) and certainly 30s-50s.


Very interesting, thanks for your help gents! I was also under the impression the keeper loop was a more modern invention, but let me know what you think of these two:

The first is a Parisian "President" (their expensive line), it's identical to their late 40's design, but the label on this one is a keeper loop. There are instructions on the side "Put tie end in loop".

The second is also a Parisian. Very similar in size and shape to a 40s tie, but the back of the tie is sewn together slightly differently, and the label is a later version (and without instructions). This one is very odd.

Remember, these are New Zealand ties!

They're one of my favourite vintage NZ tie makers, and still in business today! I've posted photo's of a deadstock Parisian tie I found (with the little cardboard sleeve advertisement), perhaps you're thinking of that? Otherwise if you do dig up some advertisements, post them up, I'd be keen to see them! :cool:
