^^It's most likely Bold Look period; painted ties were not really that evident in the '30s, plus that particular design/theme was big after WWII. The label is curious, though...
^^Nice!
^^Um, let's just say I like the paint job...
I'm not 100% sure on the age, but I'm guessing 1930s. The label is worn, but I can make out 'resence gabartunis' ???

Very interesting, thanks for your help gents! I was also under the impression the keeper loop was a more modern invention, but let me know what you think of these two:
The first is a Parisian "President" (their expensive line), it's identical to their late 40's design, but the label on this one is a keeper loop. There are instructions on the side "Put tie end in loop".
The second is also a Parisian. Very similar in size and shape to a 40s tie, but the back of the tie is sewn together slightly differently, and the label is a later version (and without instructions). This one is very odd.
Remember, these are New Zealand ties!
Thanks Baron! I've learnt something newVery British in style (unsurprisingly) and certainly 30s-50s.
Ever come across one of these?

I'm surprised you don't have one, QB...I would trade quite a few of my ties for that one (but would be sure to wear it in the daytime).
