I like the style of it., and the band is nicely made in genuine leather.
I never really felt the need for one til I found this one in the thrift store for $4. It ought to liven up Thanksgiving a little, if nothing else.
I use mostly thrift store plates and platters as saucers under potted plants. No good reason not to.View attachment 608813
I've seen these enamel trays in antique shops before. They usually run around 25 or 30 bucks. I never really felt the need for one til I found this one in the thrift store for $4. It ought to liven up Thanksgiving a little, if nothing else.
Heck.... I use em as plates and platters. Every dish in my house came from the second hand store. Figure even the finest restaurants I've ever dined in fed me on used plates.I use mostly thrift store plates and platters as saucers under potted plants. No good reason not to.
That's awesome!!Ran to the Post Office this evening and stumbled across this chenille bedspread at a yard sale for $10.
They had it displayed as a fancy car cover.

It fits in nicely in our “southwest” room (although the bed is a king size).

mybulova.com only has information on Bulovas from around 1920 to 1979. I pretty sure the above mentioned Bulova is newer than that. It's a quartz model probably made after Citizen bought out Bulova. The tuning fork Bulovas had the stem offset to the 4 o'clock position. And you're not going to find a battery for one of them for $8. They used a 1.35 volt battery that is no longer made and modified 1.5 volt batteries are now required at a cost of around $35.I wondered whether it is a tuning-fork model.
Anyway, you got a good deal.
This is a useful site:

I have a first generation 214 from 1969-1970, & a 219 from 1983 which was my dad’s retirement watch.mybulova.com only has information on Bulovas from around 1920 to 1979. A better shot. What is this? Birdhouses?
Five bucks at a garage sale last Saturday. Hung it from an existing hook, where it’s unlikely anyone will walk into it.
