I just need to fins someone in the bay area to restore it now. Anyone with suggestions?

Well, I'm on the other coast, but I've heard good things about someone called Frank out there in union square that does restorations and repairs. I just don't remember the name of the place, sorry. Shouldn't be too hard to find if you know the area I guess. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks. I think I know who you are talking about. I also found out that I bought a Frankinwatch. No big deal as it still looks nice and will be a good daily watch vs. a REALLY nice dinner watch.

I love these kitschy souvenirs that you used to find at tourist stops along the highway. I have this same “church key” that I found a couple of years ago, but it gets so much use that I couldn’t pass this one up for$1.00. Funny that it is from San Antonio and not somewhere here in the Ozarks.

My wife came home with couple of things from an estate sale. A vintage Nativity from some southwestern Pueblo (Jemez?). At first she couldn’t find the baby Jesus (he was hidden under the bubble wrap). She has had this kind of trouble before. One year we decided to dig her Grandparents’ 1950s era outdoor plastic lighted Nativity set out of storage. After finding most of the pieces in the shed she came out stating that she “couldn’t find Jesus ... only this baby”. The kids and I just stared at her until she figured it out.

The other item is the biggest piece of Nambe we have run across. It is 18” across and dated 1958.

I came across these at a garage cleanout sale. I have no idea what I will do with them yet, but anything he didn't sell was headed for a dumpster. I hated the idea of that. I don't have much in them, so I'm not much worried about it.
Half pint school bottles and wire rack.

I bought these two vintage booklets at the thrift store I volunteer at. One is a 1930s Colman's mustard cookbook where most of the recipes contain, yeah you guessed it, Colman's mustard! It is full of the most splendid 30s era drawings of nice middle class English folk, some in a colonial setting. I'm actually tempted to try out some of the recipes as they sound rather good.

The other booklet is a railway guide to a British rail route and was published in 1923 called The 10.30 Limited: A Railway Book for Boys of All Ages. It is actually quite a detailed book on early 20th. Century rail travel and, again, full of splendid illustrations of a bygone era.

Today's finds, a water jug from Westinghouse made by Hall China co, from the forties. My wife appreciates vintage kitchenware, so this was her find of the day at $8. My finds were a boot jack for $2, and a box of leather tools for $40. I like finding older American made leather tools, they are better than tools available now. The envelopes contain tools that were never used.

I’ll admit I’m a little jealous of the leather tools. Great find.
