I have an old kids Indian coloring book from the same era. It's like brand new & I picked it up for the good art work.

When I was growing up my grandmother had an old hardback book of color plates of various Indian tribes (she was Cherokee). I think it was an early book. I used to look thru that book by the hrs. I can't remember the name, I've looked online at rare book sites but haven't seen another one listed.

Have you spoken to other family members? Somebody probably has it (though they may not tell you).

I have 2 aunts still living & neither one can recall what happened to the book when my grandparents family home was emptied out after their passing. I have 17 cousins, some of which I have little contact with. It's possible one of them could have ended up with it.

How about this ornate dish? Just sitting on a shelf in a local thrift. I guess the sorters didn't know that a "900" mark on it makes it worth more than the $3.99 I paid for it... The candle holder and salt shaker were Sterling, also. I picked them up for a couple of dollars each. 60103122_2587544257939826_1858172735386025984_n.jpg
