heres a couple photos of all the stuff i found while thrifting within the past week.

This lot includes a 30s fair isle sweatervest, one 1930s tie, one 1940s bowtie, two 1940s belts, two 1940s caps, the 1930s Montgomery Ward shirt I posted earlier, one 1940s tattered white shirt, and a 1960s button up sweatervest.

Trust me guys this is highly unusual for Vancouver. I have found zilch within the past several months, for that reason the vintage gods must have looked down on me and took pity.

Bought some Singer pieces today. One blind stitcher, a box of attachments, and one zigzagger, buttonholer and some manuals.

I saw a 1960's? what looked like all metal grey green angular one for sale at £40 Shangas, it had all the manuals and loads of spares some still in packets, all looked immaculate, they're obviously still out there!

Here's an unused? gents 'Two Tix' shaving set plus an extra razor (English made Gillette TTO 'Rocket') I scored last weekend at a local antique/junk shop;

It is indeed Shangas, never opened though it smells quite nice for c50 years old!

this weekend's finds not much really but cheap and cheerful, CC41 flat cap bargain at 4 quid and a pair of sunglasses 1940's-50's???

The cap is stamped " Mackenzie make" and the only markings on the glasses are WJ on the bridge and inside of the arms, lenses are flat in section dark green glass with the edges slightly bevelled.

My acquisitions from the Sunday flea-market:

I didn't buy this. I bought the final bobbin, which fits into the little rack on the bottom left. The box is now 99% complete! (one piece still missing, if I ever find it).

I'm kicking myself for passing up the chance to buy a 1910 edition of Mrs. Beeton's Household Management.

But I did get a 'consolation prize', which was a 1980s reprint of the original. It'll be a handy historical reference for my writings.

We have the 1980's version it has some good tips on stain removal etc on period clothing, a few of the recipes aren't too bad either!
