Myself, in a new off-the-peg cotton suit (it was a sale and it fit so well for off-the-peg), my Akubra homburg, a tie based on a William Morris design, shoes by Vegan Wares, Collingwood and both pocket square and the photo itself by my wonderful partner!

Hey guys, here's a photo I just took of me in my "Palm Beach". The trousers don't fit right yet... also, need to get the stains out of them... nothing a little Oxy Clean can't fix!

But, this photo shall work till I can get the whole thing working for me!

So, what do ya think?

Great job!! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
(I didn't even notice the stains on the trousers.)

...And there's the telltale vertical fold again, on the far side of Mr. Cooper's right chest:

this photo doesn't look right. like his head was plopped onto another body. that really doesn't look like cooper's body — this head is too big for the body shown — but it is a cool looking suit!

weird things to notice :)

That photo is as old as the hills. I've seen it in print since the 70's.

true, but that doesn't mean it wasn't altered way back when. notice how his face/head does not cast any shadow on his collar - which is odd because his neck is in shadow. trust me, this is just plain goofy. No photoshop in those days to do a better job. :D

It appears that GC is being backlit, as his shirt, tie and most of his lapels are in shadow.

Well, not the best of pictures but here it goes:
Me-in-SBwvFFL.jpg

Single breasted Peaked Lapel with vest dated Feb 2 1938. It needs a bit of tailoring to get it just right but it fits ok as is. Dr. O.R.C. McCalment's suit is getting a new life. :D
I actually had a big problem when I first checked out the pants. The pants had one or two small moth holes in it with a much more major one near the knee. These are the ones I have on in the picture. A look further into the box changed my opinion quite a bit. Another pair of pants in perfect condition. :eusa_doh: :D Now I know what they meant by a suit with two pairs of pants. I am glad the good doctor wasn't cheap and ordered two pairs. :p I suppose he didn't benefit but I am now. ;)
Good to find a doctor who didn't follow his own weight charts. :D

Regards to all,

J

No doctoring on the Cooper photo. Just excellent lighting. There is backlighint behind the head as seen by the slight shadow on the lapels [as pointed out by Tomasso]. And a small light coming down at a slight angle to the face, putting the neck into shadow.

Incidentally, there is a very slight shadow from his chin onto the collar of his shirt. As we look at it to the right of the tie ... there is a slight kink in the line of the collar fold.

Nice suit, Matt:eusa_clap

I like that, looks a fair amount like mine, though mine is new and not actually vintage. I think its a similar look to where I will be when I get my hat. Very nice.

Hello all. As this is my first post, I thought I would share some pictures with you. The location is my living room, my refuge from the perils of the modern world.

The suit is an Andrew Douglas of Scotland, the shoes are Ralph Lauren, the tie and the pocket square are vintage, and that Stoat around the lamp is quite dead I assure you.
