That is a brilliant suit. Fantastic fabric choice. Great design. This is possibly one of the most bold suits I will own. Not yet completed but almost done.

I know the feel. I'm desperately trying to find vintage summer wear, more specifically a 30's-40's summer weight suit. Most of my nice clothes accommodate late fall/winter, sadly. Is this tweed suit of yours 1940s?I'm back in my favorite winter suit again today.

I really can't get enough of this one. Almost makes me sad that it will warm up, someday.

Have a great suit day,

Vintage summer wear does seem to be harder to find. Once it's much above 70 I'm too hot even in a short sleeve shirt most of the time.I know the feel. I think this is mid-60s. Varsity Town 3 piece houndstooth. All wool.

Have a fine day,

Thanks D. I think that one was one of my earliest purchases after I dieted off some excess waist material. On me, not the suit. Now that you know about this thread I hope we can see you posting some examples from your fine collection. Here and on the Sport Coat thread.Wow just found this thread! I should have known. That is a drop dead gorgeous suit. Very well appointed and the perfect color. You have it matched up beautifully! 5 stars on that one, Michael.

Very nice pattern. However, trousers look way short to me!
That they are. That's why my afternoon project will be letting them down. Fortunately they have 2 1/2" turned up inside. Whether that is enough, the jury is still out.I like the choice you made. I like the splash of brighter color it adds

How's this?I think that amount should be widely sufficient; 1.5 to 2 inches will do the job!
