Compliments to you Eric, what a beautiful shoe. I love the vamp in the same colour as the upper section. Usually it would match the toe, but not your's. What a fabulous pair of shoes.

Previously I mentioned former Lounger, Esther Weis. The lady made me a magnificent hat to go with a new suit that I had, made to measure. The colour wasn't dissimilar to that which she is wearing.

Who remembers former Lounger, SimonC? That's Simon James Cathcart. He posted this wonderful 1920's photo of Hollywood royalty, Douglas Fairbanks Jnr. and Mary Pickford. Look at Fairbanks' shoes.

The sin of covet consumed me, I had to have a pair like that.

I bought these from Simon, these were the shoes that I had on today. At last week's church service some fellow commented on my shoes. With a smile I showed him Fairbanks' photo on my phone. "You have a pair like that?" He said, looking astonished. Today his astonishment was complete.

Fabulous Eric, the grey contrast is so eye catching, and you have green laces to complete the wow factor. Fabulous!

Jim Green Razorback

After half a year of washing dishes at Panda Express. Grease. Heat. Moisture. Chemicals. Aggressive Rodents. Drunk Fat Girls.

At least the leather is good enough that a simple Brush is all that I need to clean them off. Brush them off a little, and they are ready for another 6 months. At which time, I'll decide if I will buy another pair of Jim Green, or move on.

Yesterday was a gunboat day. Alden longwings in #8 hued shell. It is a perfect footing attire for an evening listening to jazz/blues.

A work soirée last night made an occasion to wear a pair of 1940's Elevator shoes. The pair is blue suede with an alligator print on leather toes, vamp and heel. The shoes are minty and I enjoy gently wearing them. I have had sole protectors added and replaced the original heels.

They garnered plenty of attention and comments.
