I have to say, even within my own "medically challenged" state of health, I have honestly considered learning the trade of making shoes, if nothing more than just for myself. There are a few other interesting occupations I have observed within the deepest part of my thought process...let's see now...Bordello Owner....perhaps being the very first person to open a McDonald's franchise on the Moon...more risky ones would be Test Dummy for any new ballistic testing being done on bullet proof vests, Human Cannonball is up there as well! (BOOM....weeee.....splat!) lol!

What year are the footjoys that have their logo on the upper sides? I ask as you don't see the logo too much on anything wearable on the street, but do see them on some golf shoes!

Just think they made those shoe from one croc and a few lizards!

Do you notice how creative the details and overlay work is on the Footjoys of this style? Oh yes, either of these pair of shoes have the name, REX on the inside on the area where the heel pad meets the foot bed?

I love wearing my footjoys, they are very comfortable.

YESSIR! The Lizards are golf shoes, with spikes removed. They are from the 1970's. For long distance walking, nothing beats some high quality golf shoes. Interiors like sneakers! Good show on the FJ model knowledge. "Rex" is the last style given to FJ's most popular wingtip model. Both a regular wingtip, and the saddle pictured above. This model is from the 1950's and is more "spedey" than the later Rex models.

I don't see an "Ask a Q, get an A" thread solely (!) for shoes, so here's my Q:

What does an S mean within a size designation, in this case on a pair of AE loafers, sized 14-S?

sizing is on the inside of AE shoes. That looks to be a resole job, and the markings are just stock numbers from the sole stock. Outsole sizing is different than shoe sizing.
